Mary Larson Flute Studio has been offering private flute lessons in Newtown and the greater Fairfield County area of CT for more than ten years. 

Professional teaching experience includes private and group flute lessons, Region audition prep classes, flute ensemble, mixed instrument ensemble, recorder ensemble, classroom teaching, and middle school chorus teacher. 

* Creative Music Center, Monroe, CT: Flute instructor for more than ten years and currently teaching flute students of all ages and levels;

* Southbury Music Studio: Flute instructor since November 2024.

* Boerum Hill Talent Education in Brooklyn, NY: Flute instructor for all ages and levels;

* Schmitt Music Co., Mpls, MN.:  Flute instructor for all ages and levels;

Audition Prep and Coaching:

* Group audition prep for Western Region, New Milford Middle School;

Classroom Teaching:

Housatonic Valley Waldorf School, Newtown, CT 2008-2014: 

*Music and chorus teacher, grades 4-8

* General music instruction

* Recorder ensemble - Middle School
